Aqua Exercise

 

Aqua exercise is recommended by doctors as one of the best forms of low impact training. Aqua exercise supports the body and reduces the risk of muscle or joint injury, while keeping your body toned.
Tuesdays & Thursdays 11:15 – Noon or 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Classes cost only $45/session/ $300 per month
With Special rates for Senior Citizens

Recreational Swimming

Members are allowed to us the pool at the following days & times:
Weekdays (8:00 pm-9:00 p.m.)
Saturday (3:45 pm to 4:30 pm)
Sunday (3:00 pm to 5:00 pm)

The YMCA Aquatics Program has been in existence for over 47 years and is one of the Premier Programs of the YMCA. Internationally, the organization has been known for a high level of aquatic involvement and execution.
In 2006, through the assistance of corporate Trinidad and Tobago, we were able to build a new swimming pool. This became necessary as the previous pool served the population of Port of Spain for the past 60 years.


Aquatics target both the recreational swimmers and the health conscious or exercise swimmer. There are courses designed for both children and adults. The following table outlines the basic courses offered under the YMCA aquatics program:
Swimming is a great and relaxing activity. It tones your entire body while providing an excellent cardiovascular workout; it strengthens your heart muscle and improves delivery of oxygen to muscles.
